As educators, we must create an environment where students are nurtured, yet challenged, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. At the same time, we need to instill a moral and ethical base that will guide students through their life choices. We have a responsibility to build positive self-images and responsible citizenship. We must look at the whole child and celebrate their uniqueness and allow them the opportunity for self-actualization so that they may grow to be independent learners and eventually be meaningful contributors to a global community.
