My goals, as Middle Division Director, are:
To foster in independent school Middle Division students an enduring commitment to community, integrity, personal growth, and academic excellence.
To empower Middle Division students to reach their full educational potential at the secondary and post-secondary levels; as well as to prepare them for success in whatever vocational and avocational aspirations they might pursue.
To achieve these goals through an informed commitment to implementing and supporting best educational practices throughout the curriculum (including those based on research-driven, brain-based learning); to ensuring a respect for the individual needs, goals, and innate potential of each student; to providing faculty with opportunities for reflection and continuing education so that they might continue their teaching excellence; to setting high but attainable expectations for students, faculty, and staff; to encouraging a spirit of interdisciplinary and interactive collaboration in the educational experience amongst the students, their families, the faculty, and the staff; and to providing a joyful experience for all members of the school community.
