How to connect to the Parent's Web
July 15, 2007
Dear Academy Family:
Through Parents Web, part of our school's database system, parents are able to view their Child's assignments, email teachers, monitor their child's attendance record, and find school directory information. For those who have used this tool, you know how valuable and informative it is in supporting your child's schoolwork. For new families, or families who have not used it before, we highly recommend getting in the habit of using RenWeb to communicate with the school and keep abreast of your student's assignments.
The school also uses the system to send emails to families with information about upcoming events, launch orders, Dress Up Days, progress reports, and more. Please make sure we have a current email address for you where you would like to receive these notices. Also, please update us through the year if this address changes.
To connect to Parents Web, just click on the link on our school web site, www.academyatthelakes.org.From the school's web site, click on "ParentsWeb" near the bottom of the home page. This will take you to the Renaissance Web (RenWeb) parent login page. The parent login instructions are:
District code: al-fl
Email:Type in the email address you have given us for the directory or database.
(If you have not given us this, yet, or have a change in your email address, please call the office at 948-6823 with the address. You cannot access the homework assignments or any other information available through RenWeb without this on record).
Password:The first time you log in, your email address will also serve as your
password.Simply type it in again and then click "New Parent Log In".
When you have done this, RenWeb will respond with a notice telling you that a password will be emailed to you. When you receive your password, repeat the parent login steps, except use your new password and click "Parent Login".You will have an opportunity to change your password; follow instructions to do so.If you have difficulties of questions, please feel free to call Mrs. Pitcairn at 948-6823.Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Mark Heller Head of School
